Calling All Artists: Bring Your Holiday Creativity to Ice on the Plaza!

Local artists invited to showcase and sell winter- and holiday-themed 5" x 5" artwork at Ice on the Plaza on December 12.

Calling all artists! Ponca City Main Street is partnering with City Arts to host a 5" x 5" pop-up Community Art Show during Ice on the Plaza, and we’re inviting you to share your creativity with the community!

The show will take place Saturday, December 12, from 1–3 p.m. at Veterans Plaza, as part of our free Community Art Show & Special Character Day. This festive afternoon offers artists an opportunity to showcase their work, connect with visitors, and sell original art just in time for holiday gift-giving.

How to participate:

• Create as many 5" x 5" canvases as you would like, following a winter or holiday theme.

• Make sure all artwork is labeled and wired for hanging on panel walls.

• Plan to be present during the show to meet visitors and handle your sales.

• All sales and proceeds go directly through the participating artists.

Whether your inspiration comes from snowy scenes, favorite holiday traditions, or something playfully festive, we’d love to see what you create! For participation details, contact City Arts at kestrel@pcarts.org.

Alongside the art show, families can enjoy free photos with The Grinch, sponsored by Kim Edens, Allstate Insurance, and live performances by students from Kem’s Gym. The Ponca City Arts & Humanities Council has generously sponsored supplies for a free make-and-take ornament craft, with one ornament per child while supplies last.

We’re excited to work with these community partners to celebrate local creativity and bring more holiday fun to downtown Ponca City. Help us spread the word to the artists in your life—and make plans to browse, shop, and support their work!
