Downtown Ponca City's Santa Fe Depot

Built in 1911, the Santa Fe Depot has been part of Ponca City’s story for more than a century. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the depot represents an important piece of our community’s transportation history and remains one of downtown Ponca City’s most recognizable historic landmarks.

Ponca City Main Street is proud to have played a part in preserving this special piece of our downtown. Through the Oklahoma Main Street Incentive Program, Ponca City Main Street helped to provide funding for the exterior restoration of the depot, supporting the larger effort led by the City of Ponca City to bring this historic building back to life.

After years of planning, partnerships, grant funding, and restoration work, the completed Santa Fe Depot was officially celebrated with a ribbon cutting on August 6, 2026.

Today, the depot has been given new life while maintaining the historic character that makes it so special. It is home to two tenants and continues to serve as a landmark and destination for residents and visitors alike.

Projects like this are a great reminder of what can happen when our community works together to invest in downtown. Ponca City Main Street is proud to have been one piece of a puzzle to preserve our history and ensure this beautiful landmark can be enjoyed for generations to come.
